I seriously need some rain boots. It was rainy and fairly chilly today (you don’t hear me complaining though). A loud crack of thunder woke me up at 4:30am and I couldn’t get back to sleep after that, so I got an early start. I chose to wear this tunic because it’s actually fairly heavy weight cotton, and I layer it over a camisole, so it keeps me warm indoors. Outside in the rain I add my yellow polka dot umbrella and red trench. I think it was originally meant to be a dress, but it’s awfully short, and the slit at the bottom comes up too far for it be wearable without jeans or leggings. Sometimes I switch out the fabric belt for my own red or white one, but today I wanted to keep things simple. I think I will switch the bracelet for pearls next time I wear this.
Dress is Moda International, jeans are Citizen of Humanity, shoes are Me Too, and the bracelet and umbrella are J. Crew.

A yellow polka-dot umbrella!!!! I am drooling. It’s so adorable!
Love the whole color scheme for your rainy day. It’s hard to be gloomy with an outfit like that.
I’ve always admired your bold color combinations. That trench is gorgeous. If you ever want to swap it, please think of me first.
Thank you Kristen and Danja! Danja, if I ever want to unload the trench, you will be the first to know.
