When we’ve chosen to spend most (or all) of our energy and talent doing something, invariably there comes a time when we need to be reminded of why we loved doing it in the first place. Yesterday was one of those days for me. I have three tests this week, two of them in my math classes, and I’ve been sick. The first one was Tuesday. It wasn’t that difficult, really, but I was so relieved when it was over. I took a celebratory study break and headed to the bookstore to peruse the shelves of math books they have. It’s fun to look through them, not worrying about having to memorize everything written on the pages because I’ll be tested over it at some point. I can just read, and enjoy, and be amazed at how math can describe so many things I see in the world everyday, and wonder how anyone could have discovered that in the first place. Days like these, I really want to be comfortable, as well as put together, so I usually opt for a cardigan and jeans. I love how easy it is to put on a knit top and cardi and yet I still feel totally polished.
Green knit top is Banana Republic, the cardigan and bracelet are J. Crew, jeans are Citizen of Humanity, and shoes are Naturalizer, swapped from my friend Tanya.

Every day for me is one of your cardigan days
Shannon, you are super stylish! I’m always amazed at how cute you look while still doing well at your studies and earning TWO bachelors degrees. You’re my UT role model.
I ove the wash on those jeans, nice with the green top. And oh I love your new hair cut and color.
Ana, so sorry that you’ve been sick. I hope the rest of your tests go well.
I love how even your “comfortable” looks have something in them that ups the style quotient like the pretty green top with your animal print “Tanya shoes!”
Thank you San and Kari!
